PDF Page Reverser reorders all pages in a PDF document so that the last page becomes the first, the second-to-last becomes the second, and so on. The page content itself is unchanged — only the sequence in which pages appear is flipped.
Technically, the tool creates a new PDF and copies pages from the original in reverse index order. If the original has pages [1, 2, 3, 4, 5], the output has pages [5, 4, 3, 2, 1]. Each page retains its original dimensions, content, rotation, annotations, and metadata.
Example: A 10-page contract scanned from back to front produces a PDF where page 10 is the cover and page 1 is the last page. Reversing the page order corrects this so the document reads in the intended sequence.
Backwards scanned documents: Scanners with automatic document feeders sometimes scan from the bottom of the stack to the top, producing a PDF where the pages are in reverse order. Page reversal instantly corrects this.
Right-to-left document preparation: Documents in Hebrew, Arabic, or other right-to-left languages may need their page order reversed when converted from a left-to-right source layout.
Reverse chronological ordering: When compiling documents where the newest items should appear first (e.g., activity logs, changelogs, correspondence threads), reversing the page order creates a reverse-chronological sequence.
Duplex scanning correction: Some duplex scanners output the back sides of pages in reverse order (page 10-back, page 8-back, page 6-back...) while fronts are in forward order. Splitting and reversing one set corrects the sequence.
Test and answer key creation: Educators can create a test document followed by an answer key, then reverse the pages to produce a version where answers come first for reference.
Mirror copy for comparison: Creating a reversed copy of a document allows side-by-side comparison of content from different perspectives, useful in review and quality assurance workflows.
This tool supports uploading multiple PDF files at once. Each file is processed independently:
Single file upload — The reversed PDF is downloaded directly as a .pdf file named {original}_REVERSED.pdf
Multiple file upload — Each PDF is reversed independently, and all results are packaged into a single .zip file for download
The file list displays the name and size of each uploaded file. You can remove individual files from the list before processing without affecting the others.

| Smart output | Single file downloads as PDF; multiple files download as ZIP |
| Client-side processing | All reversal happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Files are never uploaded to any server |
| No registration | Use immediately, no account or email needed |
| Free | No cost, no watermarks, no file limits |
Drag and drop one or more PDF files onto the upload area, or click to browse your device. The tool accepts any .pdf files. When multiple files are selected, the upload area shows the file count.
After upload, a file list appears showing each file's name and size in KB. Review the list to confirm the correct files are selected. Click the delete button (red circle with X) next to any file you want to remove.
Click "Reverse Pages & Download". The tool processes each PDF by reversing its page order and generates the output:
One file — Downloads as {filename}_REVERSED.pdf
Multiple files — Downloads as REVERSED_PDF.zip containing each reversed PDF
The original files are never modified.
Correcting scanner output: Fix documents that were scanned in reverse order due to stack orientation in the automatic document feeder. One click restores the correct reading sequence.
Legal document preparation: Reverse the page order of exhibits, appendices, or discovery documents that were assembled in reverse chronological order and need to be presented in forward sequence.
Educational materials: Teachers can reverse test booklets to put the answer key section first, or reverse page order for activities designed to be completed from back to front.
Right-to-left language documents: When content originally laid out for left-to-right reading needs to be adapted for right-to-left languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi), reversing the page order is part of the conversion process.
Archival and records management: Reverse the order of logs, registers, or records that were captured in reverse chronological order and need to be stored in forward sequence.
Print shop preparation: Correct page order issues identified during pre-press review before sending files to the printer.
No data is transmitted to any server. No files are stored or logged. All PDF content remains on your device.
Upload your PDF file and click "Reverse Pages & Download." The tool reverses all page indices so the last page becomes the first, and downloads the result immediately.
Yes. Upload multiple PDF files. Each file is reversed independently, and all results are packaged into a single ZIP file for download.
For a single file, the output is a PDF named {original_filename}_REVERSED.pdf. For multiple files, the output is a ZIP file named REVERSED_PDF.zip containing each reversed PDF.
No. The original file is never modified. The tool generates a new PDF with the reversed page order, and your source file remains unchanged.
No. Each page's content, dimensions, rotation, annotations, and metadata are preserved exactly as they were. Only the sequence in which pages appear is changed.
All processing happens locally in your web browser using pdf-lib and JSZip. Your PDFs are never uploaded to any server. No data leaves your device.
Yes. Completely free with no registration, no watermarks, and no file limits.
Each uploaded PDF is processed independently. The tool reverses the pages within each file separately. All results are collected into a ZIP archive for a single download.
Yes. Click the delete button (red circle) next to any file in the file list to remove it before processing.
Yes. The tool works in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. Processing large PDFs on mobile may take longer due to hardware limitations.
A one-page PDF reversed is identical to the original, since there is only one page. The tool will still process and download it.
This tool reverses all pages in the document. For selective page reordering, use a PDF page organizer or splitter tool to extract the pages you want, then reassemble them in the desired order.
The tool can process PDFs that have permissions restrictions, but cannot open PDFs that require a password to view. Remove the password protection first using a PDF restriction removal tool.
