This body shape calculator is based on an algorithm developed using research from the International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology. This research classifies women's bodies into seven distinct groups according to their proportions. Just beware that there are wide ranges of actual sizes within each shape. It's possible that certain body types won't fit into any of the categories below:
